Whack-a-Troll

Whack-a-Troll is a fast browser reaction game. You have just 30 seconds to click as many trolls as possible while avoiding the skull bombs that cost you points.

The game uses a simple 3×3 grid. Characters appear one at a time in random positions. Click the trolls to score points and stay away from the skulls. No account, no download, and no setup required — just press Start and play.

1. Start the game
   Click the Start Game button to begin a 30-second round.
2. Watch the board
   Trolls and skulls appear quickly across the nine positions. Keep your eyes moving.
3. Hit the trolls
   Click any troll as soon as it appears.
   Troll = +10 points
4. Avoid the skulls
   Skulls are traps. Clicking one will lower your score.
   Skull = −5 points
5. Chase your best score
   Your current score and remaining time are always visible. The game saves your personal best score in your browser so you can try to beat it later.

Your final score is the total of all successful clicks during the 30-second round.

• Speed matters, but accuracy matters more. One careful click is better than three rushed mistakes.

Use the speaker button inside the game to turn sound on or off.

The game respects reduced-motion settings on devices that request less animation.

Because this is a pure reaction game, it is designed for mouse clicks or touch taps. Keyboard controls are not the main input method.

Your highest score is stored locally in your browser using local storage. It stays on the same device and browser you used to play.

If you clear site data, switch browsers, or play on a different device, the saved best score will not appear.
